Kraft says breastfeeding Oreo ad never meant for public

By Michael Sebastian | Posted: April 20, 2012
A South Korean ad featuring a woman breastfeeding a child who is clutching milk’s favorite cookie, Oreo, went viral this week and incited a flurry of interest. It was widely speculated that the provocative ad appeared on television in South Korea.

But Kraft, the maker of Oreo, is saying the ad was never meant to be distributed.

Kraft's agency Cheil Worldwide reportedly created the ad, but in a statement issued to the Chicago Tribune, Kraft said it was created "for a one-time use at an advertising awards program ... [and] ... never intended for public distribution or use with consumers." It has not been aired anywhere, according to the Tribune.

Not only did the ad spark controversy, but also it prompts the question: How does one dunk?
