Amazon pulls ‘Lady Boy Drag’ costume after backlash

The Halloween outfit drew criticism for being insensitive. The company has since removed it from its website.

It seems like every Halloween season, there are a number of inappropriate, tasteless or downright offensive costumes that retailers later remove from their websites. Already this year, Caitlyn Jenner costumes were bashed. Last year, it was Walmart’s “Fat Girl” costumes that raised eyebrows for all the wrong reasons.

Now, Amazon has pulled a “Lady Boy Drag” Halloween costume from its site after several news outlets pointed out how tasteless it was. The photo of the costume is NSFW, so we’ll leave you with the description:

A short sequin dress in silver with spaghetti straps. The back of the dress features a half elasticated waistline to create a tailored appearance when wearing.
