McDonald’s eyes newer, ‘simpler’ slogan

McDonald’s files intent-to-use trademark applications all the time, but its latest entry may be hinting toward cheaper menu options.

The fast-food giant recently filed a U.S. trademark registration for “The Simpler the Better.”

Although speculations from marketing pros and consumers are predicting where McDonald’s might take the possible slogan, reps are staying mum.

“We routinely file intent-to-use trademark applications as part of our regular course of business. We can’t share details at this time as to how this trademark may or may not be used,” a spokesperson told BurgerBusiness.com.
