We all commit typos. Some of them are minor, while others (such as pubic/public) are rather embarrassing.
Occasionally, a typo comes along and threatens to destroy diplomatic efforts. Such was the case this afternoon when the United Nations issued this tweet:
The tweet should have said “2-state solution.”
It took the U.N. about 35 minutes to delete the typo, at which time it sent a
tweet with the correct terminology.

Yair Rosenberg caught the error. He
remarked on Twitter, “Seriously, this may be the biggest typo in the history of international relations.”
