Twitter has a field day with McDonald’s updated Hamburglar

The jokes flew after McDonald’s launched its grown-up, handsome revamp of its classic advertising character through a pair of videos.

This might sound a bit ridiculous, but the McDonald’s Hamburglar has grown up, and is now a suburban dad who’s fond of backyard grilling.

You remember the Hamburglar, right? Gigantic head, red hair, black fedora, mime shirt, cape, completely unnecessary tie? Stole McDonald’s hamburgers while saying, “Rubble, rubble”? He’s back.

Before you watch this, keep in mind McDonald’s is getting crushed with quarter after quarter of declining revenue. The company has switched CEOs, and execs have promised to revamp their approach to be more in line with a modern fast food restaurant. This is their attempt at a comeback:
