Pepto-Bismol is enough of a household name that most people know the pink, over-the counter medicine is for digestive difficulties.
The brand’s Twitter account usually tends to be pretty delicate about it, largely tweeting about snacks and avoiding messing up a date because of stomach issues. Sunday, however, it went with the blunt approach:
The tweet prompted a wide range of responses, including genuine answers, joke answers, comments about the misplaced comma in the tweet, confusion, and even high praise.
Pepto certainly seems to be regarding the reactions to the tweet with good humor, retweeting jokes about its punctuation error and adding some quips of its own:
called the tweet the “grossest brand tweet of all time,” but it’s up above 200 retweets and at almost 100 favorites.
