2/3 of all Web surfers are victims of online crime

It’s embarrassing to admit, but many Internet users fall prey to online traps, including the most common: virus attacks, followed by online scams such as “phishing.” Also mentioned frequently were social media hacking, credit card scams, and sexual predation. A whopping 44 percent have reported a cyber crime to the police, and one-third of the victims say that their case was never fully resolved. Be careful out there. — Claire Celsi
