Some competitions intend to recognize the best work, but end up favoring campaigns from large agencies for already-mature brands. When Adam Ritchie Brand Direction was awarded first place in our category for a program we created for a brand that isn't yet a household name, it was clear PR Daily evaluates the work on its own merits. There were no celebrity spokespeople or exorbitant spends. Just an original idea and the effort to make it real. PR Daily honored it, and we were proud to be acknowledged for punching above our weight class. — Adam Ritchie, Principal

While we work at a large company, we’re a small, niche team focused on Talent Branding. We try to be nimble and lean, but we knew if we put our work “out there” we’d be competing against consumer and B2B brands with big budgets. When we decided to enter our #WeAreCisco programs for recognition, we knew that Ragan and PRDaily were some of the best industry awards. We were amazed – and humbled – when our team’s work was noticed by the judges against some of the best competition out there. We got an awards shelf to put near our team’s space in our San Jose Headquarters, and it’s a reminder for us to keep pushing the boundaries and innovating for Cisco to attract the best talent! — Carmen Collins, Social Media Lead, Talent Brand

“Oceana’s U.S. communications team sets internal goals to help quantify our success, but external recognition and validation by industry leaders like Ragan Communications not only reinforces our strategy and supports our results, but also shows our stakeholders that we are performing among the best! Our team was honored to receive first place in the Global Media Relations category of PR Daily’s 2017 Media Relations Awards for the international public launch of Global Fishing Watch. It was especially rewarding to be able to share this victory with Oceana’s partners, donors, staff and advocates, as it reinforces that we are effectively promoting our campaigns to make impactful, positive change for the oceans. Thank you, Ragan!” — Dustin Cranor, Senior Director, Communications
We are thrilled that our in-house marketing and public relations team has been recognized by Ragan for having some of the most creative and innovative campaigns in the nation. We put a great deal of effort into communicating effectively with our travelers and our community, and these awards are proof-positive that we are moving in the right direction. — Emilio T. González, Director
