3 tips for landing a PR job in the Big Apple

New York is a destination for professionals looking to get a leg up on the competition. Here’s how you could do it before even landing at JFK or LaGuardia.

Your résumé is ready to go. You’ve shown it to your best friend, your dad, and your professor before submitting it to top PR firms in New York.

You’ve read every book, blog, and New York Times article on getting a job after graduation. You’re confident your skills can help you rise above the pack and land that dream job in the big city.

Then you hear crickets.

It takes an incredible amount of patience when applying for PR jobs in New York (or any city) while still finishing up your bachelor’s or graduate degree.

As a result, it’s best to have your résumé at the top of the recruiter’s or HR rep’s stack so when the moment arrives, yours gets noticed.
