4 ways Twitter users can help tornado victims
Tuscaloosa is trending on Twitter after a twister ripped through the Alabama town. Here’s how you can help—as opposed to just sharing video of the disaster.
As you probably know, a massive tornado ripped through the Alabama town on Wednesday, killing at least 32 people. Scores more were killed by the massive severe weather system that slammed the South yesterday.
The tweets related to Tuscaloosa are a notable, if somewhat disturbing, mix of support and prayers for victims of the storm, and they include links to video of the tornado.
One Twitter user writes:
“Holy s#!t…. Watch 4-27-11 Tornado Tuscaloosa, Al on Vimeo! http://vimeo.com/22970879”
That’s disaster porn, folks.
