Are you running on coffee to keep you on deadline and to stay on top of your social media efforts? That might not be a bad thing, says a Shine.Yahoo! article.

Shine shared these five health reasons why you don’t need to quit coffee. They’re from Kerri-Ann Jennings, M.S., a registered dietitian and associate editor of nutrition for EatingWell magazine.

2. Fends off diabetes. Coffee’s chlorogenic acid and quinides boost cells’ “sensitivity to insulin, the hormone that helps regulate blood sugar.”

3. Is good for the liver. Drinking two extra cups of coffee each day can reduce “liver cancer risk by 43 percent.”

4. Ramps up brain power. An extra one to five cups each day “may help reduce risk of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.”
