These days, we seem to have our phones permanently connected to our hands.

Google reported that three-quarters of the searches about the NFL season opener (between the Packers and the Seahawks) were done on smartphones, with one-third of football-related searches on mobile, as well.

Football fans aren’t the only ones on the go: Another study revealed that local searches lead 50 percent of mobile users to visit a story within a day of their search, and 15 percent of in-store activities involve using a smartphone for product searches or price comparisons.
