5 ways NBA reporters are passing the time
Besides writing about the lockout, the bored basketball writers of America are finding a variety of ways to stay busy.
With no end to the NBA lockout in sight, these guys and gals have been spending their days traveling, covering other sports and writing preview/what-if/hypothetical stories about their beloved sport.
I thought I’d take this opportunity to offer a few suggestions on other ways they can occupy their time:
1. Discover soccer. Few people realize that MLS, our homegrown professional soccer league, is something that exists. But some NBA beat writers, including Arash Markazi of ESPN Los Angeles, who has apparently been placed on David Beckham/LA Galaxy duty for the moment.
