Despite his best efforts, copywriter and marketing consultant Jim Lodico spent his Sunday helping his daughter run a lemonade stand. And he picked up some valuable lessons for marketers—nine of them, actually. For instance, here is tip no. 5: Do what you need to do to be seen. “It wasn’t enough to just put up a sign,” Lodico wrote. “My daughter’s advertising consisted of jumping up and down screaming ‘free lemonade’ at passing cars.”
