Oh, the irony: Genius.com misspells its name in a press release headline

We’ve all experienced an embarrassing typo—hello, forgetting the ‘l’ in ‘public’—but one company’s spelling goof is simply too funny not to highlight.

Genius.com, a marketing solutions website, yesterday issued a press release saying—among other things—that the company is profitable.

Great news!

The folks at Genius.com must have been so happy that they forgot to proofread the press release. The headline read (our emphasis):

Genuis.com Raises Series E Funding Led by Emergence Capital”

Oof. Way to go, Genius!

The press release was corrected, but TechCrunch had already grabbed a screenshot and shared the typo with its readers.
