More than half of the U.S. Internet audience reads a newspaper online

According to a new study by comScore, 123 million Americans read newspapers on the Web — that’s 57 percent of the total U.S. Internet audience. As Jeff Hackett, senor vice president at comScore says, “Americans are actually consuming as much news as ever … it’s just being consumed across more media.” The New York Times brand attracted the most views among newspapers with Tribune newspapers following in second. — Matthew Royse
