United honors free fares granted in website glitch
The airline lost an unspecified amount of money, but earned big kudos.
How about, “Airline error in your favor, collect several free plan tickets”? That actually happened, my friends, when United accidentally offered free fares on its website last week.
The company has decided to honor those tickets, and took to its Facebook page to address the problem:
We’ve reviewed the error that occurred yesterday and decided that, based on these specific circumstances, we will honor the tickets.
