A star blogger complaining about PR pitches is like a pro athlete whining about autograph seekers

Maybe you heard about blogger Robert Scoble’s rant last month about PR professionals and the pitches they send him. “They all suck,” he said of press releases. “Anyone who defends them is defending the indefensible. If you want to do your clients some good figure out something else to do.” Social media consultant Shel Holtz has decided to “defend the indefensible.” He wrote on his blog that there’s nothing wrong with an email pitch done right.
