Alibaba apologizes for job ad seeking woman who looks like adult film star
The Chinese e-commerce firm has replaced the original ad with one looking for a woman who looks like a TV and film actress.
Alibaba suffered another major public relations setback last week, and it’s a doozy.
In an effort to motivate its “code monkeys”—a term I’m sure its programmers and developers adore—Alibaba sought to hire someone with “physical characteristics similar to adult film star Sora Aoi,” according to Bloomberg. That job description was posted on the company’s website.
