Allstate’s retracts press release, apologizes
The insurer’s gaffe is a lesson for PR departments everwhere.
But when an insurance company tries its hand at humor there’s a high likelihood most people won’t get the joke. Just ask Allstate. The insurer issued a press release explaining that a driver’s Zodiac sign indicates how safe — or accident prone — they are on the road. (Sorry, Virgos.)
