In less cheerful news, the jobs report for June came out this morning, and the country added a mere 80,000 jobs—below expectations of 100,000—keeping the unemployment rate at 8.2 percent. Presumptive GOP candidate Mitt Romney called it a “kick in the gut.”
PR software provider Cision will soon be adding to the nation’s unemployed when it completes an expected layoff of 139 employees at its offices in Chicago and nearby Rockford, Ill.
