Professors at Wichita State and Purdue universities released their annual joint study, the national Airline Quality Rating, which showed that U.S. airlines improved in three categories: on-time arrivals, mishandled baggage, and involuntary denied boardings.

However, the airlines saw an increase in customer complaints.
