Apple OKs ‘anti-gay’ app—70K sign petition against it

Change.org is circulating a petition demanding Apple pull an iPhone app that seeks to help homosexuals become straight. Last year, Apple experienced a similar flap.

The app is kicking up controversy, and—surprise, surprise—Apple has stayed mum.

This latest app, from the nonprofit group Exodus International, seeks to help homosexuals become straight. The New York Daily News reported:

“The app is targeted at ‘homosexual strugglers’ and allows users to learn more about Exodus, which maintain people have a choice to be gay and can choose not to be.”

The app received a 4 rating from Apple, which means it has “no objectionable content,” the Daily News said.
