Apple overtakes Coca-Cola as most valuable brand
The marketing muscle behind the new iPhone apparently proved too great for the beverage maker, which Apple knocked from Interbrand’s top spot for 2013.

The marketing “machine” that is Coca-Cola usually invites consumers to “open happiness,” but those at the global beverage giant might be less chipper today.
According to Interbrand’s latest report, Apple has taken down Coca-Cola as the world’s most valuable brand. Coca-Cola fell from its top spot on last year’s list to No. 3, behind Google, which jumped from No. 4 to No. 2.
Here’s a look at the top 10 rankings, which are dominated by tech and electronics companies:

4. IBM
5. Microsoft
6. GE
7. McDonald’s
8. Samsung
9. Intel
10. Toyota
