|Portico, a “destination club model for the masses,” achieved the fastest growth of any resort club in the marketplace, welcoming more than 2,500 members in just one year, it reports. How? Unlike hotel visitors, Portico travelers connect and gather in the kitchens of their individual units, rather than the hotel lobby. So Portico partnered with kitchen retailer Sur La Table across PR, social media, and revenue-generating channels. This allowed Portico to communicate its hotel alternative for families to Sur La Table’s database. A Sur La Table email generated more than 1,000 qualified leads and tripled Portico’s Web traffic in one day. In just four weeks, Portico’s Facebook fan base was increased by more than 2,000 followers organically.
