Blog highlights the abuse of ‘excited’ in press releases
In a recent interview, the blog’s author, Mashable business and marketing editor Todd Wasserman, said he wouldn’t rest until the word ‘excited’ is eradicated from all press releases. Good luck.

More times than you can count?
Anyone who reads or writes press releases on a regular basis sees it, including Mashable‘s business and marketing editor Todd Wasserman. It’s even inspired him to launch a Tumblr blog with examples. The blog is titled “Everyone’s Excited in Press Releases,” and recent entries include:
• “I am excited to have the opportunity to help shape that future with Rob and the rest of the team.”
• “We’re excited to bring mobile broadband to Clarksburg.”
And my personal favorite:
• “Peter Manos, Managing Partner at Arlington Capital Partners said, ‘We are very excited to leverage Scott’s experience with high growth companies providing technology solutions to large, blue-chip customers. His operational and strategic depth will be an asset for both the company and its customers.'”
The jargon in that quote is awe-inspiring.
