Without question, KitchenAid’s errant tweet this week insulting the president’s late grandmother will earn it a spot on the dubious list of social media gaffes.
The company’s response, however, will also land it on the list of brands that handled a social media blunder well. Shortly after the tweet went live, the company deleted it and apologized, and an exec from the company took to the Twitter handle to explain the situation and reach out to media outlets for interviews.
