Brands lit up on Twitter for 4/20

Several companies tweeted pot references and other promotions tied to April 20, but was doing so a smart move?

Leave it to a handful of brands, desperate for that sweet, sweet social media engagement, to hop on the trend and share pot-related—or at least muchie-related—content on 4/20.

Totino’s , Carl’s Jr., Ben & Jerry’s, Denny’s and Arby’s were all about the food (and puns):

People sure are hungry on this totally regular Monday.

Other brands took either a clearly weed-focused approach or went with the euphemistic “relaxation” approach. Both Spotify and iHeartRadio promoted ganja-enthusiastic artists:
