Burger King partners with other fast-food brands for Peace Day
Unshaken by McDonald’s rejection, the restaurant chain offered to lead the creation of ‘The Peace Day Burger.’

After Burger King was spurned in its public attempt to persuade McDonald’s to create a “McWhopper” in honor of Peace Day, other brands came forward with offers to take McDonald’s place.
This week, Burger King accepted offers from Denny’s, Wayback Burgers, Kristal and Giraffas. The fast-food brand posted another open letter—this time on Tumblr—to announce the move:
