ConAgra pulls YouTube videos that offended LGBT community

The company has also issued an apology for the videos advertising the Manwich.

The ads “play upon gay stereotypes,” reports LGBT Weekly.

One blogger said the ads, which were created for ConAgra’s Canada market, promote gay bashing. More than 100 people signed a petition on Change.org to have the videos removed.

ConAgra issued an apology and said it had pulled the ads from YouTube.

“We saw the petition letters come in,” ConAgra spokesman Jeff Mochal told The Miami Herald. “They were created by the [Canadian advertising] agency, and someone thought they were clever and posted them online. Here in the corporate office we weren’t aware of it. We sent them a note, and they took them off.”
