FDA wouldn’t categorically prohibit social media at pharmas

Pharmaceutical companies face lots of regulations on their advertising and marketing, which is one reason they have not embraced social media like other industries. That could all change, however, after a Food and Drug Administration official told a blogger (and executive at PR firm Fleishman Hillard) that the agency would not categorically prohibit social media. “It’s not the medium, it’s the message,” the official said.
