Founder of popular tech blog explains how to pitch him
In a detailed blog post, Om Malik—founder of the GigaOm blog—lays out for PR professionals how and when to pitch him stories.
The site’s founder, Om Malik, recently explained on his personal blog the protocol for public relations professionals, in a straightforward, non-condescending manner.
Malik says he typically returns emails within 24 hours, and if you don’t hear back, “well, try again.” If it’s crickets after the second try, then he’s probably not interested.
He also says:
PR Folks: all press releases and urgent news alerts for GigaOM Network go to press-leads at gigaom dot com and will result in a prompt response from an appropriate writer.
