Golden Corral employee video depicts meats left next to dumpster

The restaurant chain fired the associate manager of a Florida location after the video made a big splash on Reddit and around the Web.

In a video posted to YouTube last week, Brandon Huber, an employee at a Golden Corral in Port Orange, Fla., indignantly showed hamburger meat, baby back ribs, and a rack of other food being stored outside, next to a dumpster. The video hit Reddit Monday, and eventually it was showing up on The Huffington Post, Mashable and other news sites.

As of Tuesday morning, the video had nearly 2.2 million views. One tweet from the account @UberFacts, which had the video embedded, has gotten nearly 600 retweets.

Golden Corral responded with a tweet of its own Monday:

FYI, the manager involved in the improper storage of food was terminated for failing to follow approved food handling procedures.
