Government to lodge complaint against news agency over tweet

The National Labor Relations Board plans to file a civil complaint against Thomson Reuters for allegedly reprimanding a reporter for a tweet she sent.

The National Labor Relations Board said it plans to file a civil complaint against Thomson Reuters for disciplining a reporter after she directed a tweet to a company Twitter address, The New York Times reported.

The tweet said:

“One way to make this the best place to work is to deal honestly with Guild members.”

Employees were asked to share ideas for making Reuters—the company’s news division—a better place to work. So much for that.
