Graphic designer attempts to make slogans more honest

Clif Dickens’ Tumblr cuts right to the quick with its assessments of what brands are really about.

Some company slogans are woefully inaccurate.

That’s why we owe Clif Dickens a hearty thanks for creating some much more accurate slogans for some of America’s most recognizable brands.

Dickens runs the Tumblr account Honest Slogans, which features company logos and slightly more cynical slogans than the ones that brands proffer themselves.

For instance:

Target: Walmart for the middle class

Pepsi: “Is Pepsi okay?”

Best Buy: Try it out before buying it on Amazon

Ben & Jerry’s: Eat away your feelings

Kool-Aid: Sugar water

A suggested slogan for Honest Slogans: Fu***ng brilliant.
