Have a Coke and a blog: Coca-Cola launches office of digital and social media
Already a leader in social media among large corporations, Coca-Cola opened an Office of Digital Communications and Social Media. The office will report to the PR department and tap resources from the company’s traditional marketing, legal, IT and consumer behavior departments. Coca-Cola’s embrace of social has built online buzz for the company. For instance, Coke is the second most popular brand on Facebook, in terms of fans, next to President Obama.
