Holy tweet! One nonprofit hopes to raise part of $1.65 million straight from Twitter

The Bob Woodruff Foundation, a veterans group, is using Twitter to help raise part of the $1.65 million it hopes to receive during its Memorial Day drive. Porter Novelli is helping the foundation at no charge. The firm launched the Twitter campaign at this week’s South by Southwest festival. The goal is to register 400,000 people via Twitter and ask them to donate one dollar each, or a buck a tweet.
