Hospitals can block Facebook — but not the 21st century

Heath care providers are running smack into social media reality. Technology always changes faster than societal and cultural change, and many health care institutions are struggling to keep up. Some are over-reacting by attempting to block Facebook. Under the guise of protecting the privacy of its patients and the security of its networks, patients and visitors could run into this frustrating barrier during their next hospital visit. — Claire Celsi
