How long until your Facebook update is out of sight, out of mind?

A new study says 50 percent of ‘likes’ occur within 80 minutes of an update.

Here’s a tip: Stop checking after 22 hours.

A study by Visibli of the engagement habits of more than 200 million Facebook users found:

• Facebook posts receive 50 percent of their “likes” in the first 80 minutes;
• 80 percent occur in the first 7 hours;
• 95 percent within 22 hours.

Here’s another tip, from Visibli CEO Saif Ajani. He told Advertising Age:

“If you want to maximize your exposure, you should post every hour and 20 minutes.”
