I personally believe that for being successful on social media you need to work like you are naturally participating and not have come to promote your stuff. You can obviously promote your business indirectly in your page description or through providing a link in your author bio like Instagram allows you. Going intense in doing your promotion would only make you appear like a spammer and eventually, your followers would start leaving you.
