    It’s not just what you say and how well that determines your impact but also what readers know about who you are. If an “about the author” paragraph says three or four things about you one of which is that you’re a donor to the famed Lymphoma Research Foundation, and you’re backing a study there that may protect our lives, that reality adds to your credibility and impact.
