“Harold and Kumar” actor Kal Penn offered one four-letter word to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C., on Tuesday: vote. For those in attendance, however, sponsors had quite another word: free. Newsday offers a peek at the swag delegates scored during the DNC, including antibacterial spray provided by Yahoo, a tire pressure gauge from the Rubber Manufacturer’s Association, a clutch from Kenneth Cole, Odwalla Chewy Nut Bars, and even a DVD of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part II.”
Also making its presence known at this year’s DNC was UnitedHealth Group, which put plastic pedometers inside delegates’ bags.
