Instagram ads a success for Chobani and Taco Bell

A few select brands have tested advertising campaigns through the social media platform; the results may prove promising for digital marketers. 

Since Facebook bought Instagram for $1 billion in 2012, marketers have been wondering how and when they might be able to advertise on the platform.

We’re starting to get our answer.

A tour through the Instagram for Business blog shows a couple of success stories, most recently Taco Bell and Chobani.

Granted, no information is given about the spend, so keep that in mind when you see these numbers.

Taco Bell says it reached 12.5 million 18-44 year olds in the United States over a four-week period. It also gave the brand a 29-point incremental lift in ad recall for people who were repeatedly exposed to the campaign.
