Jason Biggs’ lewd tweets cause big PR headache for Nickelodeon

The kids network condemned the distasteful tweets of the actor who voices a character on a Nickelodeon show.

The American Pie actor, who voices a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle on the kids network, is rather forthcoming in his tweets about his distaste for the Republican party in general and presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, specifically. His tweets, to put it gently, were super raunchy (he has since deleted them but you can read them here if you’re up for it).

When an actor or comedian goes overboard with tweets about political candidates, it rarely causes a media uproar. But Biggs’ Twitter account was promoted on Nickelodeon’s website—visible to any child with access to the Web.

As you can imagine, calls for boycotts have sprung up from parent groups. Fox Business is among the mainstream outlets that has picked it up and run with it.
