Magazine charged with glorifying domestic violence
Pictures of bruised models sparks an outcry. Plus, bidding farewell to ‘CSI: Miami,’ classic cereal commercials, 10 takeaways from Apple’s WWDC 2012, hearts go out to VW’s little Darth Vader, one high school’s ‘graduataion’ gaffe, and more.
Perhaps I’m preaching to the choir, but it ain’t easy being beautiful. One Bulgarian fashion magazine is finding that out. 12 Magazine has come under scrutiny for its recent editorial photo spread, shot by photographer Vasil Germanov, titled “Victim of Beauty,” which depicts female models severely beaten, prompting many to question whether the shoot glorifies domestic violence.
Think that was tactless? Wait until you see the behavior in these bizarre press conferences collected by Mediaite. Two words: Sarah Palin.
Bizarre doesn’t even begin to describe a video tribute—a la Sir Elton John—mourning the recent cancellation of “CSI: Miami” from the CBS lineup and its biggest star, David Caruso’s sunglasses.
