Infographic: The U.K. drinks 165 million cups of tea—a day

Public relations professionals love coffee. It’s been scientifically proven, sort of. But what about all of the tea drinkers out there? Here’s an infographic for you.

PR Daily has reported extensively—one might say, hyperactively—about coffee and caffeine. We’ve pointed out that PR is the second-most caffeinated profession, presented a list of things you didn’t know about your morning java, and noted coffee’s health benefits (and drawbacks).

But what about you tea drinkers? We know you’re out there, sipping your highly caffeinated black tea, or your anti-oxidant packed greens, or—if you’re stomach’s acting up—your soothing peppermint.

For all of you, here’s an infographic from green-tea dealer Holland & Barrett showing, among other things, that the U.K. consumes a tonne of tea (as if you didn’t already know)—like 165 million cups a day. And that 40 percent of Great Britain’s fluid intake today will be tea.
