Mentioned on ‘Daily Show,’ Twitter feed gets thousands of followers—in 3 minutes
We have the pictures to prove it.
I happened to be watching the show and browsing Twitter, so I followed @GayObama and took a screen shot when there were 17 followers (I was No. 17). In three minutes, the follower count shot up to more than 2,000. It hit 3,000 shortly after, and then the growth slowed (slightly).
So, there you go. Just get Jon Stewart to mention your Twitter feed and wham—thousands of followers. It appears Stewart is to Twitter what Oprah is to books.
