New York Times Foundation ends grants and gift-matching, employees to lose free museum passes

The hits just keep on coming for the New York Times. You’d think there was a recession, or the newspaper industry was melting, or both. On Thursday, Times executive Michael Golden sent a memo to employees indicating the company was ending grants and gift-matching through its philanthropic arm, the New York Times Foundation.
