NYT’s first-ever social media editor leaving post
Many of you may know Jennifer Preston — at least her headshot — from Twitter. Until recently, she was The New York Times social media editor, the first person to hold this role. The Times appointed Preston to the role in May 2009. She’s leaving that post to become a media reporter covering social media for the Times , reports Journalism.co.uk . Aron Pilhofer , editor of interactive news technology, will be the paper’s new social media editor.
