On Twitter, frustrated NFL player tells Iraq war veteran to ‘sit down n shut up’
The veteran, who is also a Minnesota state senator, lost both of his legs in the war.
As it enters the often ugly legislative level, the Vikings have taken a bit of a PR hit, thanks to wide receiver Bernard Barrian.
After Minnesota State Rep. John Kriesel, an avid Vikings fan, criticized Barrian’s play on Twitter following the team’s fourth straight loss, the athlete took to his Twitter account to respond.
“Anytime u wanna watch the film with me. Not just one game but all of them,” Berrian tweeted, “and if not sit down n shut up!!”
Normally, saying something like this to a state politician isn’t a huge deal.
